1. Automaker Land Rover to Soon Launch Its First Smartphone
In the race to capture the burgeoning global smartphone market, British automotive brand, Jaguar Land Rover,
currently owned by Tata Motors, is all set to launch smartphones and accessories by early 2017.
For this, Land Rover has tied up with consumer electronics company Bullitt Group to develop a bespoke smartphone and range of accessories.
The portfolio will launch in early 2017 and will embody the core values of the Land Rover brand, featuring some truly innovative capabilities and technology.

2. MV Agusta Is Finally Here With Its Range of Superbikes
The Italian high-performance motorcycle company, MV Agusta, announced its official entry into India
via an exclusive partnership with Pune’s automobile major, the Kinetic Group.
The company unveiled its first range of superbikes − the F4, F3 and Brutale 1090 − which will now be available at its first Motoroyale dealership in Pune. The company will operate as MV Agusta India Pvt Ltd.
Following Pune, Motoroyale dealerships will soon be inaugurated in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. Motoroyale showrooms will focus on sales, service, spares and after sales support for MV Agusta customers in India.

3. Diesel Ban the Worst Advertisement for India: Toyota
With the Supreme Court set to take up the matter of ban on diesel cars and SUVs on Monday, the world’s
largest automaker Toyota said continued restrictions on vehicles complying with all regulations would
be the “worst advertisement of India”.
The ban has been imposed on diesel vehicles with an engine capacity of above 2,000 cc in Delhi and NCR.
Operating as a joint venture in India with the Kirloskar group, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, is among the worst hit. It has not been selling its popular vehicles – Innova and SUV Fortuner – in Delhi-NCR since the ban was imposed in December last year.

4. No New Registration of Diesel-Run Taxis in Delhi: SC
There will be no new registration of diesel-run taxis in the national capital, the Supreme Court on
Tuesday directed, but gave a breather to cabs having all-India tourist permits to ply in the national
capital till the expiry of their permits.
The bench allowed existing All India Tourist Permit (AITP) diesel taxis to operate in the national capital till the expiry of their permit. These five-year long permits will not be renewed once they are expired.
