Geneva is one such city in Switzerland that serves as a meeting ground for world leaders, thanks to the all important headquarters of the United Nations, International Labor Organisation and World Health Organisation situated here. It also is the most prolific meeting ground for all the carmakers of the world – because it is a neutral territory and everyone gets to showcase their cars to the world sans any bias.

And for every hot-blooded car enthusiast, it is pure supercar heaven. The sheer number of supercars and hypercars at the show is what every car lovers’ dreams are made of. So here are a handful from this year's show.

The Rimac Concept 2 takes the cake in terms of supercar performance. It is powered by dual electric motors with a combined horsepower of 1,915 bhp! And it has 2,300 Nm of torque. It can get to a top speed of over 415 kmph. Only a 100 of these cars will be built, and each will likely cost over one million dollars.

There is fast, and then there's ridiculously fast. The Hennessey Venom F5 will come with an eight-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out in excess of 1,600 bhp. The car is aiming for a record top speed in excess of 300 miles per hour (482 kmph). Of course, the car will need to be modified further to get to that goal post.

Aston Martin has taken its road-going Vantage and prepped it for the track. This Vantage GTE has a four-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine which puts out 536 bhp of power. It has also been lightened and weighs just 1,245 kg or so, which makes it pretty quick. It gets upgrades to the brakes and panelling too.

The McLaren Senna GTR is a track-only upgrade of the regular McLaren Senna. Its four-litre, V8 turbocharged engine has been given more power - it now makes 814 bhp from the 789 bhp earlier. Only 75 of these will be built.

The Zenvo TSR-S is a supercar from Denmark. It combines the best of Zenvo's TS1 GT hypercar and its track-only TSR track car, to get a street legal supercar. It puts out 1,177 bhp of power from a 5.8 litre V8 supercharged engine. It can go from 0-100 kmph in 2.8 seconds and from 0-200 kmph in 6.8 seconds.

The Koenigsegg Regera is a Swedish supercar and it is a hybrid. It combines a twin-turbo V8 petrol motor putting out 1,100 bhp with a 670 bhp electric drive train for a combined output of about 1,500 bhp. It does not use a traditional transmission, but instead sends power to the rear wheels instantaneously with the electric motors. It can go from 0-400 kmph in less than 20 seconds.

The Bugatti Chiron Sport is probably one of the world's most celebrated hypercars. It can go from 0-100 kmph in under 2.5 seconds (yeah, not as fast as a Rimac), has a massive 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers, putting out 1,500 bhp. The Chiron Sport claims to be lighter than the earlier Chiron with more use of carbon-fibre panels.
