Luxury sports car maker Porsche on Monday launched all new version of its compact SUV Macan in India with price starting at Rs 69.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
The German automaker also announced the powerful version of the Macan called the Macan S which is priced at Rs 85.03 lakh. Both these SUVs carry varied turbocharged engines, and come with upgraded interiors and exteriors as well.
In addition to the Macan and Macan S, Porsche India has lined up the new Cayenne Coupe and Taycan for India launch before end of 2019, the company highlighted at the media event.
The Macan comes with an enhanced two-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine, producing 252 hp of power and 370Nm of torque. Both the models are paired to a seven gear dual-clutch transmission (PDK) from the company.
With these power capabilities, the Macan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 6.5 seconds, hitting a top speed of 227 km/hr. The powerful big brother, Macan S loaded with a three-litre V6 turbocharged engine can produce 354hp of power and 480Nm of torque. With these figures, expect the Macan S to cross the 100Km/hr mark in 5.1 seconds.
In terms of upgrades, the 2019 Macan series gets upgraded LED headlamps, larger central and side air intakes, new wheel design and side blades as well.
On the inside, you’ll notice the multi-function GT sports steering wheel and a new 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
