Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday, 23 February 2022, launched its new generation Baleno in India. The premium hatchback lineup was first launched by the company in 2015.

Baleno 2022 is available at a starting price of Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-shorrom) in India. The car is available in six trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta (O), Alpha and Alpha (O).

Design
In terms of appearance, the upcoming Baleno looks quite similar to the previous models. However, the car sports new bumpers with wider grille, combined with LED projector headlamps, DRLs and wraparound LED taillamps.
Baleno 2022 is available in six colour variants: Grandeur Grey, Celestial Blue, Opulent Red, Pearl Arctic White, Luxe Beige and Splendid Silver.
Engine and Performance
The new Baleno houses 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine with output of 89 hp power and 113 Nm peak torque.
In terms of gearbox, the premium hatchback comes with 5-speed manual transmission and AGS gearbox.
Interior
Baleno 2022 sports a 9.0-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system combined with Advanced Voice Assist and Suzuki Connect connectivity feature.
