Lamborghini has finally launched its Aventador SVJ in India and this limited edition supercar has been priced at over Rs 6.2 crore (ex-showroom). This model carries a big premium tag, and only 600 units of these will be produced for global sale, the company has informed.
SVJ stands for Superveloce Jota (means super fast race car) and was first showcased in 2018 at a gala event in the United States. It’s worth pointing out this could be the last Aventador SVJ ever to be made by Lamborghini, as the German automaker looks to abide by the changing global emission norms.
In India, one private buyer, Boopesh Reddy, who is based out Bengaluru has been able to get his hands on this soon-to-be vintage model.
The 2019 Aventador SVJ carries additional vents on the bonnet and a new rear wing for improved aerodynamics. The changes are dramatic, mostly to aid improved driving, which might help the car beat its current fast lap record at the Nurburgring circuit in Germany.
The supercar also gets new set of dual-pipe exhaust system and aero vectoring for better performance
It comes loaded with a 6.5-litre V12 engine that can race up to 100Km/hr in just 2.8 seconds at a top speed of 349 Km/hr. The power-packed engine churns out 770BHP power and 720NM of torque.
While usually Aventador competes against the Porsche’s and the McLaren’s of the world, with the SVJ badge carrying a limited edition tag, the premium quality (use of fiber carbon reduces its weight too), along with performance sees a big bump, for its premium price tag.
The SVJ edition is part of Lamborghini’s fleet of special race cars that are street legal.
So, whoever buys this car, must be damn rich!
