There has been a recent torrent of 200cc motorcycles in the Indian two-wheeler market that’s mostly dominated by 100cc to 150cc bikes. This means that the demand for more power is being met by aspirational products that not only satiate their need for speed and adventure, but also offer an attractive price tag.
The latest 200cc motorcycles launched in India have been the Hero MotoCorp line-up of XPulse and Xtreme bikes, but there are many more you can consider when looking to buy a 200cc motorcycle.
So, here’s a list of the top 200cc motorcycles in India you can buy.
1. Hero Xtreme 200R
The Hero Xtreme 200R was launched last year and was being pitted as the flagship that would get Hero some numbers in the 200cc segment.
Though the bike didn’t perform with flying colours it did manage to get the attention of some of the Indian two-wheeler buyers. The Xtreme sports a very new-age design and comes bundled with a few premium features.
It is powered by a 199cc air-cooled engine that pumps out 18 bhp of power and 17 Nm of torque. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the Hero Xtreme also comes with single channel ABS.
Price: Rs 89,900 (ex-showroom)
2. Hero MotoCorp XPulse 200T
This is the latest addition to the Hero MotoCorp family and is primarily meant for the commuter class. The XPulse 200T borrows the same engine from the Xtreme, but is a tougher variant than its predecessor.
The XPulse 200T comes with soft tyres for comfortable road riding and and comes with 37 mm telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable monoshock on the rear.
