The Jaguar XE gets mainly cosmetic changes to the exteriors. The car gets a new front bumper and grille that gives it a sportier stance. The headlamps come with LED daytime running lamps that now look a lot sleeker than the previous model. At the rear too, the tail-lamps have been revised and so has the bumper.

The big update is to the interior of the car. It gets a new centre console and a 10.2-inch infotainment system. The instrument console and steering wheel have also been updated. It gets brown & beige leather upholstery. The AC panel gets a new display as well, but with physical knobs.

It gets Android Auto and Apple Car Play. It comes with a phone app that allows you to monitor car status remotely. Other features like lane-keeping assist, wireless charging and driver condition monitoring are good to have.

The Jaguar XE has been updated to meet BS-6 emissions norms. The 2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine puts out 247 bhp of power and 365 Nm of torque. The 2-litre diesel engine makes 178 bhp of power and 430 Nm of torque. Both the engines come with 8-speed automatic transmissions.

In terms of dimensions, it isn't different from its predecessor. However, it looks visually larger thanks to the new design for the alloy wheels, the revised air-dams and skirting. The XE is essentially a driver's car as rear-seat space is limited, unlike the XF which is larger.

The body is largely made from aluminum, which makes it much lighter than its competitors. The Jaguar XE competes with the Mercedes C Class and BMW 3 Series in India.
