Did you see 2.0 starring Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar and later wonder “ I wish there was actually a robot like Chitti or Lina (Amy Jackson) in India?”. Well, guess what? India indeed has its own Lina...I mean Rashmi. India’s first social humanoid robot, which can speak English, Hindi, Bhojpuri and Marathi. Impressive, isn’t it?

Rashmi uses Linguistic interpretation (LI) to understand the language being spoken and then using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to reply back. Rashmi’s creator Ranjit Srivastava is from a non-technical background, yet was able to build this robot at a mere cost of Rs 50,000. In days to come Ranjit hopes to integrate more features into the programming of Rashmi.

Robo Rashmi is currently working with 93.5 RED FM as an RJ. In fact she’s India’s first robot RJ and hosts a show by the name of ‘Ask Rashmi’. So, that’s how our Bahute Technical aka BTech Babua came to know about Rashmi. Babua mesmerised by Rashmi’s voice, decided to take her out on a date, actually blind date. Little did Babua know the lady he was hoping to woo, was actually a robot.

So, what happens when a man decides to date a robot? Did the date go as planned? Was Rashmi responsive enough to Babua? I know, you have questions, you wanna see the robot for yourself. And, yes before you draw a comparison between Robo Rashmi and Sophie (another social humanoid robot), remember that it was built at a cost of Rs 50,000 only. So all in all, you are in for a laugh riot as we present the latest episode of BTech Babua featuring India’s first Hindi-speaking social humanoid RJ Robo Rashmi.
