With a 66.66% winning rate, India has won four and lost two matches out of the six contested vs Zimbabwe in T20 Internationals.

After India’s crushing 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the second T20 International on Monday, here’s a statistical overview of India vs Zimbabwe in T20 world cricket:

  • Zimbabwe’s 10-wicket defeat to India is their third by such a margin in T20 Internationals – the first being to New Zealand at Harare on October 15, 2011 and the second to South Africa at Hambantota on September 20, 2012.

  • India’s win with 41 balls to spare is their second largest in terms of balls remaining in T20Is behind the 59 balls remaining during their nine-wicket victory over UAE at Dhaka on March 3, 2016.

  • Zimbabwe’s total of 99/9 is their third lowest score in T20Is – the two lowest are 84 vs New Zealand at Providence on May 4, 2010 and 93/8 vs South Africa at Hambantota on September 20, 2012.

  • Mandeep Singh (52 not out off 40 balls) has posted his maiden 50 in Twenty20 Internationals, surpassing the 31 off 27 balls vs Zimbabwe at Harare on June 18, 2016.

  • Barinder Sran (4/10) has produced the second best bowling figures on debut in T20Is next only to the 5/13 by Elias Sunny for Bangladesh vs Ireland at Belfast on 18 July 2012.

  • Sran became the first Indian bowler to bag three or more wickets on debut in both the formats – ODIs and T20Is. On his ODI debut vs Australia at Perth on 12 January 2016, he had taken 3/56.

  • Sran became the first Indian bowler to bag three or more wickets on debut in both the formats – ODIs and T20Is. On his ODI debut vs Australia at Perth on 12 January 2016, he had taken 3/56.

  • Jasprit Bumrah has captured five wickets at 7.00 runs apiece in two matches – the most by a bowler on either side in a bilateral series in T20Is involving India and Zimbabwe.

  • Bumrah has captured 53 wickets (avg.19.86) in 41 matches this year – the most by an Indian bowler in a calendar year in Twenty20.

  • The unbroken partnership of 103 for the first wicket between Rahul and Mandeep is the highest partnership for any wicket as well as the first century stand for India vs Zimbabwe in T20Is.
