The year 2018 was an eventful one for all sports fans, especially for the Indian fans who had so many reasons to rejoice. The year started on a great note as the Indian Under-19 side lifted the cricket World Cup for the fourth time. This was followed up by a great show Down Under at the Gold Coast by the Indian contingent during the Commonwealth Games.
The Indian Premier League, like every year, lived up to its hype. Not to forget this was also the year of the football World Cup, and the French side turned up the heat in Russia to take the trophy home for the second time. In Indonesia, the Indians again fared well, this time at the Asiad, as the country unearthed new, young sporting talents.
