Team India defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Tuesday, 2 July to register their sixth win at the ICC World Cup 2019 that secured them a passage to the semifinals.

Coming into the match on the back of a poor loss to England, Team India were under a certain amount of pressure and under scrutiny – for selections, tactics and approach. However, Virat Kohli and company bounced back from that defeat in some style. The team management got the selections right – even if certain strategies employed have to be questioned – and the players took the field with the right approach. The platform for the win was set up by Rohit Sharma's hundred and his stupendous opening partnership with KL Rahul.

Here's a recap of all the major records broken, milestones reached, significant feats and other interesting statistics from the match.
