Twitter Reacts: Shahid Afridi Likely to Quit After WT20

Afridi’s patchy performance and decision to quit got Twitter talking. Here’s what they had to say.

New Zealand booked their place in the semis after a comprehensive defeat over Pakistan in Tuesday’s WT20 match. The Kiwis won by 22 runs in the Super 10 match, securing their third consecutive win.

Shahid Afridi, captain of Pakistan’s cricket team has received a lot of flack, both for his bad decisions as captain and the performance of the team in the tournament. Following Tuesday’s match and his decision to retire after the WT20, people took to Twitter to respond. Not surprisingly, not all their remarks were kind.
