The 20-time Grand Slam winner Federer further gave credit to the 22-year-old tennis player from Jhajjar in Haryana, for his performance in the opening set.

“Credit to him to play a solid first set. I was missing a lot of balls and trying to cut back on forced errors. But it all came back just in time and in the end I played good tennis. I’m happy,” said Federer.

And when asked if he for a second confused Nagal with Nadal, the 38-year-old smiled and said, ‘No’ and added, “But maybe for you guys and social media it is”.
