Shoaib Malik has became the second Pakistani cricketer to achieve the rare double feat of completing 7,000 runs and picking 150 wickets in One Day Internationals. The 36-year-old also became the seventh cricketer overall to reach the milestone, during his 15-ball 18 against Zimbabwe in the fifth ODI on 22 July.

Malik celebrated the significant milestone with his wife and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, who is currently on a maternity break.

Shahid Afridi is the only other Pakistani cricketer to achieve this feat in ODIs. And with this feat, Malik – who made his ODI debut back in 1999 – has now joined an elite list of cricketers, which includes Steve Waugh (Australia), Sachin Tendulkar (India), Sanath Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka), Jacques Kallis (South Africa), Shahid Afridi (Pakistan), and Chris Gayle (West Indies).

Pakistan completed a series whitewash over Zimbabwe with a 131-run win in the fifth and final match at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Another record was also set during the match – Fakhar Zaman became the fastest player in history to reach 1,000 career runs in One Day International cricket as Pakistan amassed 364 for 4.
