Actor Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of the Trinbago Knight Riders, was in the capital of Trinidad and Tobago on Friday night to attend the launch party of the the new anthem for the team titled #WeIsTheChampion.
King Khan also met with his the team members, who won the Caribbean Premier League twice, once in 2015 and later in 2017.
Earlier, Shah Rukh had tweeted about his captain DJ Bravo, who has recorded the single in his trademark style.
The anthem video featuring Bravo and a few team members like Sunil Narine & Darren Bravo, also has Shah Rukh Khan dancing with the local dancers.
Here’s a look at the video, which Shah Rukh Khan shared on his Instagram account with a message, “ My friend and Captain @djbravo47Scores Swings Swags and Sings...This is how @tkriders play too.”
The song has already attracted a lot of attention with over a lakh views in the first 30 minutes.
The 2018 edition of the Caribbean Premier League begins with defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders facing St Lucia Stars in Port-of-Spain. The final will be played on September 16 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.
After a successful campaign in 2017, Shah Rukh’s side will look to make it two successive years in a row.
