Indian opener Rohit Sharma played a stellar role with the bat to guide India to a series victory against West Indies in the third and final ODI in Mumbai on on Wednesday, 11 December.
After two flops, Rohit had a good day with the bat for a change at the his home ground. He scored a 34-ball 71 and shared 135-run opening stand with KL Rahul to help India win by 67 runs.
Witnessing Rohit’s swansong with the bat was his wife Ritika, who was at the Wankhede Stadium along with their daughter Samaira, who caught everyone’s attention, courtesy her father.
After Rohit was dismissed, on his way to the dressing room, Rohit was seen gesturing and trying to talk to his daughter Samaira. The act won everyone’s heart at the stadium as fans cheered on while Rohit was busy seeking Samaira's attention from the dressing room.
Rohit’s IPL team Mumbai Indians shared the video on their official Twitter handle, with the caption: "Guess who's talking to Rohit Sharma in the stands?”
On Wednesday, Rohit took the Windies bowlers to the cleaners as he smashed 5 sixes and 6 fours en route his 71. In the process, he became the first Indian and third overall to hit 400 sixes in international cricket.
