First match back after the birth of his daughter Samaira and Rohit Sharma celebrated the milestone with another, on the field.
The Indian one-day vice-captain scored his career’s 22nd ODI century while batting against Australia in the Sydney ODI.
His wife, Ritika Sajdeh, posted an Insta story of their newborn watching the action unfold live on tv.
Earlier in the day, home skipper Aaron Finch had won the toss and elected to bat, setting a 289-run target. In reply, Shikhar Dhawan got out in the third over of the Indian chase and skipper Virat Kohli too was soon back in the hut. India were 4/3 when Rohit Sharma starting the rebuilding process with MS Dhoni and together the pair added 137 runs for the fourth wicket.
Though Dhoni fell soon after his half century, Rohit soldiered on and marched to the three-figure mark with ease.
