Neymar scored his fourth goal of the season in Paris Saint-Germain’s league one clash against Nimes on Saturday, 1 September, and straight went to celebrate in front of a poster that dubbed him a “cry baby”, taunting the entire opposition crowd.

Neymar opened the account for PSG against Nimes with a sliding finish inside the penalty area and mimicked wiping of his tears as he ran towards the rival fan’s poster amidst loud boos from the stadium.

The controversy had emerged long back due to his consistent play-acting (sometimes overdone) and only strengthened in the FIFA 2018 World Cup when his over-the-top antics (the roll-over stunt) went viral on social media.

PSG finished the game comfortably with a scoreline of 4-2 with Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria featuring on the score-sheet.

While some called Neymar’s celebration “top class”, others didn’t react kindly to it.
