Ranveer to Jr Bachchan: Twitter Celebrates Mumbai Indians’ Big Win

Mumbai Indians qualified for the IPL 2019 playoffs in the most dramatic way possible as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in a Super Over at the Wankhede stadium on Thursday, 2 May.

The game ended in a tie courtesy Manish Pandey’s unbeaten 71 which helped Sunrisers score 163 in their 20 overs – the same as Mumbai Indians. The tie also meant that the match went into a Super over, the second of the season.

Delhi Capitals and KKR played the first Super Over of the season which was won by Delhi.

Pandey’s knock along with Mohammad Nabi’s 31 proved to be key at the end in helping Sunrisers stay alive in the contest.

In the Super Over, Bumrah stood up to the expectations, taking two wickets and limiting Sunrisers to just 9 runs.

Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard then finished the game off in 3 balls thereby helping Mumbai become the third team to qualify for the playoffs.

RR: Win their remaining match. Hope KXIP & KKR win not more than one match. SRH loses to RCB.
