Delhi Reach IPL Playoffs After 7 Years and Twitter Can’t Keep Calm

Delhi Capitals (DC) sealed their place in the playoffs after registering a comprehensive 16-run victory over RCB.

Delhi Capitals (DC) moved atop the IPL points tally and sealed their place in the playoffs after registering a comprehensive 16-run victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Sunday, 28 April.

In a season that saw them change their name from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals, the franchise has managed to enter the knockout stage of the tournament for the first time since 2012.

Chasing DC's total of 187/5, RCB managed to score 171/7 as the Delhi boys recorded their eighth win to take their tally to 16 points from 12 games. RCB are all but out of the tournament after suffering their eighth defeat of the season.

Delhi Capitals reaching the play-offs in many ways is the story of the season so far. Young team, full of zest and learning with every match. I hope Prithvi and Rishabh rise to the occasion in the matches to come
