Twitter Hails Pakistan For Bouncing Back After Defeat to India

Pakistan registered their second win of the 2019 World Cup as they beat South Africa by 49 runs at the Lord’s on Sunday. Doing this they climb to the seventh spot in the points table and also keep their semi-final chances alive.

Like South Africa, Pakistan had won just one match coming into this game, making this a must-win fixture for both team. At the end, Pakistan delivered a better performance on the day and beat their opponents rather comfortably.

Pakistan had lost to West Indies in their campaign opener and then shocked England by registering a famous win, after which they again dipped into a losing streak.

They lost against Australia and India by heavy margins, coming into this game, in which the team put an all-round performance and outscored their opponents.

Pakistan now need to win all their upcoming games to stand a chance of entering the semi-finals but after beating South Africa, Twitter was optimistic of their chances.

Pakistan next play against New Zealand (26 June), Afghanistan (29 June) and Bangladesh (5 July).
