After completing a series white-wash against Bangladesh during the landmark Pink-Ball Test in Kolkata with three days, Indian skipper Virat Kohli decided to waste no time in city and headed straight home to Mumbai.

Kohli and Co trampled Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs to clean sweep the series 2-0 in their maiden pink ball Test on Sunday.

After completing such a comprehensive and dominating victory against the neighbours, Virat was in for a surprise when he was landed in Mumbai. Apart from the paparazzi outside the airport, the Indian skipper had actor wife Anushka Sharma there at the airport to receive him after his recent conquest.

Apart from the series win, Virat had a good outing against Bangladesh in the second Test. The captain scored 136 off 194 balls on Day 2 of the historic Test to become the first Indian to score a century with the pink ball.

This was Team India’s third consecutive series win this season after the side beat West Indies 2-0 in their own backyard and then went on to inflict a humiliating 3-0 win against South Africa at home. With this win, India continue to remain unbeaten in the World Test Championship with 360 points and are placed firmly at the top of the table.

The innings and 46 runs-win on Sunday was India 12th consecutive home series victory as they also became the first team ever to complete four successive innings victories in the five-day format. India had won the first rubber by an innings and 130 runs.
