Ganguly wasn’t there when I was interviewed.Ravi Shastri

VVS Laxman and BCCI convenor Sanjay Jagdale were present at the Taj Bengal hotel and Sachin Tendulkar joined them through Skype from London.
During Shastri’s interview, Sourav Ganguly was at the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), attending a working committee meeting.
After the meeting, the former Indian captain told the media that Anil Kumble, Pravin Amre, and Lalchand Rajput gave their interviews in person and Ravi Shastri’s interview was conducted via skype.
Ganguly and Jagdale have been unavailable for comment on this issue.
Ravi Shastri also expressed to The Indian Express that he was disappointed about not getting the coaching job.
I was very disappointed. Disappointment because the hard work entire unit had put in in the last 18 months. To see where they were when the support staff and I took over and to where they reached in 18 months makes me feel proud. They got up, threw punches and ended up where they were. Number one in Test cricket, number one in T20, number two in ODI. You can’t ask for more. Even I didn’t expect such a transformation in 18 months with this young team.Ravi Shastri
