WrestleMania 35: Becky Lynch Wins the 1st Ever Women’s Main Event

The MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and the WWE Universe around the globe witnessed history being made at the 35th edition of WrestleMania.

The event saw the first ever Women’s Main Event which resulted in the fan favourite Becky Lynch taking home all the gold after pinning the Baddest Women on the Planet- Ronda Roussey.

Kofi Kingston’s 11-year struggle finally came to an end as he defeated Daniel Bryan to become the first ever African American WWE champion.

In the opening match of the main show, the King Slayer, Seth Rollins slayed the Beast, Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Championship in an emphatic fashion after delivering a low-blow and three Curb Stomps.

John Cena made his return as “Doctor of Thuganomics" and interrupted Elias’ WrestleMania performance. After a few verbal attacks, he floored Elias down with a clothesline, followed by Five Knuckle Shuffle and FU – the former name of his finisher, the Attitude Adjustment.

Baron Corbin Defeated Kurt Angle in the latter’s farewell match. After the match, the Olympic Gold Medalist thanked his fans and family and exited to his theme.

Triple H defeated Batista in what turned out to be the most brutal match of the evening. Near falls, Table Spots, Weapons made this the most dramatic match of the night. A hit with the hammer provided by Ric Flair followed by a Pedigree saw Batista lay down for the three count.

AJ Styles defeated Randy Orton after hitting him with a chin-breaker and phenomenal forearm. The Usos defeated The Bar, Ricochet & Aleister Black, and Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the Smackdown tag team titles.

Shane McMahon defeated The Miz after the latter suplexed Shane off a scaffolding rig. The Impact saw Shane on top of The Miz which allowed the referee to count the three fall.

The IIconics defeated Boss 'N Hug Connection, Beth Phoenix & Natalya and Nia Jax & Tamina to win the tag team titles. Samoa Joe defeated Rey Mysterio via submission to retain the United States Championship.

Roman Reigns made a triumphant return and defeated Drew McIntyre via pinfall. Finn Balor in his “Demon” Avatar defeated Bobby Lashley to win the Intercontinental Championship.
