Radkar shared pictures of the race on his Facebook page and quoted Tim McGraw in the caption while thanking his family and friends for support.

In 2008, Radkar became the first Indian to finish an Ironman Triathlon. Ironman is a series of long-distance races that include a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile (42.2 km) run, all three activities completed without a break. He completed the race in 11 hours, 41 mins and 36 secs – making it the fastest debut for an Indian. Radkar also enjoys the title of being India’s first Ironman-certified coach.

Radkar had his first tryst with athletics as early as the age of nine when he took to swimming. This eventually culminated in him becoming a national swimming champion for India. Radkar later went on to represent the country in several Asia Pacific Swimming Championships.

Radkar also provides training to other triathletes at what his website calls a “skill sharpening clinic” by the name of “Train With Kau”. Radkar describes it as an effort to give back to the sport what it has given him.
