ISL Preview: Roberto Carlos’ Delhi Dynamos Start as Favourites

The Quint previews each of the eight ISL teams in the run-up to the tournament that starts on the second of October.

Today, it’s the Delhi Dynamos.

They finished fifth in the league last season, however with the legendary Roberto Carlos coming in as the manager cum marquee player, the team look set to vie for the title this year.

Impactful Internationals

• Florent Malouda – The former French international who played for Chelsea and Lyon comes in with a lot of experience
• Adil Nabi – Former England u-17 player, Nabi has been brought in on loan from EPL side West Brom.
• Gustavo Dos Santos – Retained from last season’s squad after he scored five goals for the team.

Impactful Indians

• Robin Singh – The 21-year-old striker however will struggle to find a place in the playing XI with a lot many solid players up front.
• Subhasish Roy Chowdhury – India’s former number one keeper, Chowdhury will look to make a mark in the league to get his spot back in the national team.
