One comes, another goes. On one hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad welcome one of the most feared batsmen in T20 cricket – and the captain of their title-winning squad from IPL 2016 – back into the setup. But on the other, the Sunrisers have let go of the premier Indian batsman from the franchise’s six-edition past, and among the most consistent domestic performers in IPL history.
David Warner is back, Shikhar Dhawan is out – even-stevens, is it? Perhaps not, considering the presently-in-exile Australian will return from a year in the wilderness, and his presence could come in doubt given Australia’s extensive World Cup preparation plans.
