Twitter Congratulates MI, SRH for Making it to IPL 2019 Playoffs

Mumbai Indians, courtesy Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten 55, beat Kolkata Knight Riders in the last league game of IPL 2019 to top the points table.

Mumbai chased down the 133-run target with ease to close the win by 9 wickets with 23 balls to spare. MI were already through to the playoffs but now the 2 points from the win, help them qualify as the top-ranked team.

What KKR’s loss also means is that for the first time in IPL history, Sunrisers Hyderabad will make it to the IPL playoffs with 12 points.

With a net run-rate of +0.577, Sunrisers edged out KKR (+0.173) to the playoff race despite being on the same number of points after the completion of the league stage.

Meanwhile, Twitter was buzzing with congratulatory messages to both the franchises for making it to the playoffs after having an up and down season upto this point.
