There seems to be no end to the miseries of Virat Kohli and his Royals Challengers Bangalore side as they succumbed to their fourth straight defeat in IPL 2019.
Despite their best efforts with the bat, RCB could only manage 158 in their 20 overs batting first. Kohli and AB De Villiers failed with the bat once again and the middle-order couldn’t do much.
While defending their target, mis-fields and drop catches did hurt them badly as they just lacked the firepower in their bowling lineup. The likes of Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj, who have been playing every game for RCB, have just not been upto the mark when it comes to getting wickets.
Also the absence of a good foreign pacer is also working against them. Yuzvendra Chahal, on the other hand, is the owner of the Purple Cap despite his team ending up on the wrong side of the result in every game till now.
Twitter criticised but was sympathetic towards RCB who have been rather unfortunate when it comes to winning matches.
