Delhi Capitals maintained their winning streak by making it three in a row as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 39 runs.
Delhi are now second on the IPL table with five wins in eight games.
Defending a lean target of 156, Delhi Capitals failed to put a substantial amount of pressure on the home side who were 101/2 after 15.2 overs. It was then that a massive collapse began as DC picked up 8 wickets inside 14 runs and 22 balls.
Kagiso Rabada (4/22), Keemo Paul (3/17) and Chris Morris (3/22) all came to the party as Delhi forced SRH to surrender with 7 balls still to go at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Post the game, the senior squad of Delhi Capitals took to the dance floor to celebrate their team’s win.
In a video posted by Delhi Capital’s twitter handle posted, Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma can be seen dancing their hearts out.
Later Dhawan’s son and wife can also be seen joining the team in the celebrations.
Tweeple were at it as they reacted to the Delhi boys celebrating a brilliant win against SRH.
While Dhawan has scored 256 runs for DC in eight games, Ishant has taken five wickets in the six games that he has featured in.
The Delhi franchise has worked their way out in IPL 2019 as a top contender for the playoffs. With all the players contributing without much pressure on few individuals, it may just be the season Delhi fans have been looking for.
