Gayle was severe on the Bangalore bowlers on Saturday night smacking them to all parts of the ground. The 40-year old is still striking it well in T20 cricket which is why he is the king of the format.

Gayle has been in scintillating form for Punjab for the last two seasons and has been doing a great job for the Men in Red.

Gayle’s knock however could not prevent Kings XI Punjab from winning the game as RCB finally won their first game of the season.

RCB’s chase was designed by skipper Virat Kohli who scored 67 but was dismissed just at the brink of victory. AB De Villiers then mastered the chase as he was unbeaten on to help RCB win against Punjab.

After the loss Punjab stays fifth in the points table while Bangalore are on the board with two.
