Mumbai Indians won the IPL final on the very last ball for a sensational one-run victory against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

Shane Watson's 80 off 59 balls nearly took MS Dhoni's team home, but the Australian allrounder got run out in the last over as Mumbai restricted Chennai to 148/7.

Mumbai’s fourth IPL title now makes them the most successful franchise in IPL history. Here’s a list of all the awards that were handed out after the match, and at the end of a long season.

Man of the Match: Jasprit Bumrah

2/14 in his 4 overs in the final and Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was named the Man of the Match of the 2019 IPL final.

‘Very happy. We were just trying to keep calm as it got close. Today surprisingly I was very calm, I was not panicking at all. I was focussing on one ball at a time. I’m happy I got to contribute to the team’s success,’ said Pandya after the win.

Emerging Player of the Year: Shubman Gill

Collectively voted on by the viewers and TV commentators, Shubman Gill won the award for the best emerging player of the season. Along with the trophy, the youngster also won a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

Fairplay Award: Sunrisers Hyderabad

The only team to record an average of 10 Fair Play points per game, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the Fairplay Award which was accepted by mentor VVS Laxman.

Perfect Catch of the Season: Kieron Pollard

For his catch of Suresh Raina right on the boundary line, Mumbai Indians’ Kieron Pollard was ‘almost unanimously’ voted the recipient of the Perfect Catch of the Season award.

Harrier Super Striker of the Season: Andre Russell

With a strike rate of 204.8 and 510 runs, Andre Russell won the award for the Harrier Super Striker of the season.

FBB Stylish Player: KL Rahul

With Kings XI Punjab not making the final, Rahul is not at the venue and Hardik Pandya goes up to receive his team-mate’s award.

Orange Cap: David Warner

David Warner, who returned to competitive cricket after a year ban, amassed 692 runs at a magnificent average of almost 70, including eight fifties and a century in the 12 matches he played in this IPL edition.

Purple Cap: Imran Tahir

26 wickets in the season and the South African picks up the purple bowler this season.

Incidentally, Tahir, at 40, also became the oldest player to win the cap.

Most Valuable Player: Andre Russell

KKR’s highest run-scorer and wicket-taker this season, Andre Russell has been adjudged the most valuable player of the series as well.

Runners-Up: CSK

MS Dhoni’s CSK are given a cheque of Rs 12.5 crore after finishing on the losing side in the final.

‘As a team we had a good season. But we need to go back and reflect. Wasn’t one of those years where we played very good cricket. Middle order never clicked, but somehow we managed.’
