India Cements to Move Supreme Court Against Suspension

A few hours after their team was suspended for two years, India Cements Ltd (ICL), owner of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) decided to move the Supreme Court.

Top sources in the company said they held discussions on the Lodha committee recommendations and decided they would approach the apex court seeking relief.

Disappointed With IPL Verdict: Raj Kundra

Suspended for life by the Supreme Court-appointed Justice R S Lodha committee, former Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra released a statement expressing disappointment.

He wrote, “It’s disheartening that despite there being no evidence whatsoever against me, I was still deemed to be guilty.”

I have not received till date a copy of their final report in which sweeping conclusions were recorded against me. Even the fact that neither the Delhi police nor Rajasthan police found any actionable case against me (for the obvious reasons that there was no evidence or material against me) has been used to make insinuations regarding my guilt for an act I never did.

We Will Honour and Respect The Verdict: BCCI

BCCI is committed to honour and respect judicial decisions and it would give its observations after the entire report is read and a collective decision is taken.
Jagmohan Dalmiya, BCCI President

We respect the verdict and would undertake a collective decision in a transparent manner, in the right direction and in the larger interest of the game after the verdict is received and analysed.

Gavaskar: Tough to Imagine an IPL Without Dhoni

I know the players of CSK and Royals must be feeling terrible at the moment, especially being singled out for no fault of theirs as somebody else has been at fault. Since already 3-4 guys have been suspended, they might feel let down. But there is at least eight months for the next IPL. I feel that is enough time for the BCCI to have two new teams.

Think It Will Have a Good Affect on IPL: Mukul Mudgal

This is a very strong punishment. I think it will have a good affect on IPL, BCCI and the players. Many people feel it will have an adverse affect on the game but I think this is a temporary setback and cricket will come out cleaner and people’s faith on IPL will be restored.

Srinivasan Should Not Represent BCCI in ICC Now, Demands Verma

I am very happy with the verdict of Justice Lodha Committee. Those who have brought disrepute to the game should be done away by the BCCI. I want BCCI to form a special committee and throw N Srinivasan (former BCCI president) out of the Indian Cricket Board forever.
