Two big events pin hopes for India on Day 7 of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Jitu Rai is in action once again, this time in the men’s 50m pistol event. Hopes rest on the young Tejaswin Shankar as he participates in the men’s high jump event.

MC Mary Kom, making her CWG debut, is already assured of a medal in women’s boxing but her Wednesday bout against Sri Lanka’s Anusha Dilrushki will decide if she settles for bronze or moves on to fight for the gold.

After clinching the mixed team event gold, Indian badminton players start their singles events with Kidambi Srikanth and Saina Nehwal to be seen in action on Wednesday. Srikanth is the top seeded player in the singles draw.

The Indian men’s hockey team play the last of their Pool B matches on Wednesday. Having already qualified to the semi-finals, this will be a good time for the Indian coach to test his bench.
