Ronaldo, Messi and Others Wish Casillas a Speedy Recovery

Iker Casillas, legendary Spanish goalkeeper, suffered a heart attack while training for his club FC Porto on Wednesday, 1 May and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Porto issued a statement mentioning that the 37-year-old is out of danger and recovering well.

“Iker Casillas suffered an acute heart attack during Wednesday morning’s training session. The training session was promptly interrupted to provide assistance to the Porto goalkeeper, who is currently at the Hospital CUF Porto. Casillas is doing well, he’s stable and his heart problem has been resolved.

Casillas himself later tweeted a photo from the hospital saying that all is well, further thanking people for all the wishes.

Footballers from all over the took to social media and wished the World Cup 2010 winner a speedy recovery.

Santi Cazorla, the Spanish footballer who also plays for Villarreal took to twitter and wrote “@IkerCasillas strength capi, a hug”

Tennis Ace Rafael Nadal too, wished him a speedy recovery and wrote “A huge hug to @IkerCasillas at this time. Force Iker!”

The two greats of football, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi took to Instagram to wish the former Real Madrid legend a speedy recovery.

Leo Messi, while celebrating his team’s victory over Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final, also said that he would like to send a hug to Casillas and wish him a speedy recovery.

Cristiano Ronaldo too, posted a story on his Instagram with a picture of himself and Casillas to wish him a speedy recovery.
