After setting a benchmark with his exceptional performance against Spain in the World Cup, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has also brought tears of joy in the matter of humility.

With sheer amount of respect for the game, Cristiano Ronaldo showed love and compassion towards a beloved fan, who realised that he had missed an opportunity to meet his hero before boarding the team bus.

In the viral video, when Ronaldo became aware of this, he got down of the bus, took pictures with his fan and wiped his tears followed by a warm hug. The Portugal captain also signed his T-shirt before bidding adieu.

Ronaldo has always shown passion in his game and kept the determination to lead his country single-handedly with his leadership qualities. Despite of the inability to play the Euro final against France in 2016, Ronaldo did not lose hope and had the courage to motivate his teammates even from the bench.

I always believe in myself but obviously I want to emphasise the way the team played. We never turned away from the fight. This was only the first match but we are going to believe until the end.

This World Cup seems to favour the Portuguese star with his first-class performance after netting a hat-trick against Spain in their opening match. This is just a start for Ronaldo to leave a mark and contribute significantly in this World Cup.

Portugal will play against Morocco on Wednesday, 20 June, at the Luzhniki Stadium. The Portuguese have not lost against Morocco since 1986, where the African oppositions closed the match in a 3-0 win.

If Portugal manages to take the lead in the coming match, which somehow seems to be under scrutiny keeping in mind the peculiar results from the underrated team so far, they will face Iran in their next match on Monday.
