Both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League Finals are all set to be played between English clubs, after Arsenal and Chelsea emerged victorious in their semifinal clashes against Valencia and Frankfurt.

Liverpool and Tottenham had defeated Barcelona and Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals earlier.

It is the first time, that the both top two competitions in Europe will witness finalists coming from one nation.

Twitter was abuzz following the news and had all kinds of reactions. While some hailed the Premier league and called it the best ever, others were quick to troll La Liga fans.

It is worth noting that there have been just two instances when the finals were played between the English Clubs.

Tottenham taking on Wolves in 1971-72 UEFA Cup final being one, and the 2007-8 Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester United being the other.

Tottenham will take on Liverpool in Madrid on 1 June, whereas Arsenal will go head to head with Chelsea in Baku, Azerbaijan on 29 May.
