Rohit Sharma scored a stunning century to help India beat England by seven wickets in the third and final T20, and seal the series 2-1.

The Indian vice-captain made a target of 199 look ridiculously easy on the small Bristol ground on Sunday, 8 July.

While Captain Virat Kohli played his part (43 off 29 balls) with brilliant stroke play, Hardik Pandya also made a significant contribution to the match. Pandya hit 33 out off just 14 balls as India reached to 201 for 3 in 18.4 overs.

But the man of the hour – Rohit Sharma stroked his way to 100 not out with the help of 11 fours and five sixes. Thus, clinching India’s sixth consecutive T20I series win.

Praises for the Mumbai batsman poured in on Twitter. People also congratulated Team India for their commendable performance.

In the post-match ceremony, talking about his third T20I century Rohit Sharma said, “That's the style of my play. I like to be calm, not to panic too much. I know once you're there, you can make it up later. It's important to spend some time in the middle and try and play the field,” reported NDTV.
