A Frenzy of Mixed Reactions From Twitter After Gambhir Steps Down

Twitter careened from denial, to accusations, to sadness, to acceptance upon hearing news of Gambhir’s resignation.

Delhi Daredevils skipper Gautam Gambhir has stepped down as captain following a string of losses which has left the Daredevils at the bottom of the points table in this year’s IPL.

Gambhir picked Shreyas Iyer as his replacement, and Shreyas has now taken over the reigns of the Delhi based franchise.

Delhi is presently placed at the eight spot on the league table with a solitary win in six games.

Twitter is abuzz after the shocking news.

‘Team Management Is to Blame’

Gautam Gambhir scored just 1 run in the first 4 matches of IPL 2014. KKR too didn't do well.
From such a position, he lead KKR to winning the title.

DD management is the worst. They bought Yuvi @ 16Cr & never gave him that kind of freedom. They never utilized him properly. He used to bat mostly at 5/6.
