Six people including Telugu TV actor Prashanthi were booked for creating a ruckus and obstructing a person from watching the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad.
The complainant, identified as one Santosh by The News Minute, said that the actor, along with the five others, didn't allow him to watch the match and also abused and threatened him when he objected. The TNM report said that the group got drunk in the corporate box, disturbing all other spectators in the same box and the neighbouring boxes.
According to media reports, a probe has been launched into the matter.
A case was registered under Section 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 506 (Criminal Intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), The News Minute further reported.
