Two persons were detained by the police for throwing a shoe at Ravindra Jadeja during the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on Tuesday.
In the eighth over of Kolkata’s innings, a shoe was thrown at Jadeja, while he was standing at long-on.
Fortunately for Jadeja, the shoe missed him as Du Plessis and Lungi Ngidi were walking near the boundary rope.
The city police had laid down multi-layered security to prevent any untoward incident during the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) here on Tuesday. According to officials, around 4,000 police personnel have been deployed for security.
