As Mumbai chased KKR’s 177/7, the 23-year-old kept his calm while wickets tumbled all round him, guiding his team to victory with his stylish half-century that came off just 29 balls.

Rana walked in to bat with Mumbai Indians at 65/1 after the fall of Parthiv Patel. While batsmen continued to depart from the other end at regular intervals, the Delhi youth continued to play some brilliant strokes.

The Mumbai side, in fact, lost four wickets in the span of just 54 runs. But Rana’s show was still on. He went on to score his 50 runs at a strike rate of 172.41, laced with five boundaries and three sixes, and almost single-handedly led his team to a crucial win.
