MS Dhoni Equals Kumar Sangakkara’s World Record With 99 Stumpings

Nineteen of Dhoni’s stumpings have come off the bowling of off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Former Indian captain and wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni equalled Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara’s record for most stumpings on Thursday. Dhoni reached the milestone by claiming his 99th victim in the second match against Sri Lanka, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, in the ongoing ODI series.

MS Dhoni achieved the feat by stumping Sri Lanka opener Danushka Gunathilaka in the 14th over of the Sri Lankan innings.

Retired Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Rumesh Kaluwitharana follows behind Dhoni and Sangakara with 75 stumpings.
