The Aussie cricketer has been an important part of the side since he was bought by Punjab in the 2014 auction.

Last seen playing for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, the batting all-rounder smashed 117 runs off just 71 balls in four innings.

In the 2016 edition of the IPL, Kings XI Punjab replaced out-of-form captain David Miller with Murali Vijay after losing five of their six games in the tournament.

After releasing Mitchell Johnson, Rishi Dhawan, Kyle Abbott and Farhaan Behardien, Punjab picked up Eoin Morgan and Martin Guptill among other players in this year’s auction.

Virender Sehwag, who is currently the mentor of Kings XI Punjab, will also be the team's head of Cricket Operations and Strategy in this season. The former Indian opener will also be the franchise's Brand Ambassador.

Since Sanjay Bangar decided not to renew his contract, Punjab has also been on the trot for a new head coach.
