India’s veteran cricketer Gautam Gambhir slammed the Aam Aadmi Party for not controlling the air pollution in New Delhi. The opening batsman said that the party in power has to take responsibility of the situation in the national capital.

When you see the air quality and when you see the condition in Delhi, there’s so much talk about Delhi being choked and stuff. Me being a Delhi boy, it is my responsibility. In fact, it is everyone’s responsibility to talk about it. It’s not that I was targeting anyone. I am not a politician, I am not anti-AAP or pro BJP or pro Congress. So the party which is in power has to take responsibility.

When asked about the upcoming India-Australia series, Gambhir said that the visitors will have to put the runs on the board to win Down Under.

It’s going to be a tough series. Australia have got the bowling attack. We can say that India have a great chance because India have got a good bowling attack as well. The Test series will depend on who can take 20 wickets. Australia have got the firepower with Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon. Australian batters have struggled in the subcontinent, but they are still decent enough to contribute in their own country. They know the pitches well, it will not spin as much as it does in the subcontinent. They play fast bowling really well and they are attacking batsmen as well. India have to put the runs on the board. We struggled to score runs in South Africa and England. If we can put the runs on the board, we have got the bowling attack to take 20 wickets.
