CPL: Lewis Shines as St Kitts Nevis Patriots Cruise to Victory

Match 13 of the Caribbean Premiere League 2019 proved to be a fresh breath of air for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. They had an easy 6 wickets win over the St Lucia Zoukas.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots won the toss and opted to bowl.

Batting first, St Lucia Zoukas scored 138-9 in 20 overs. None of them were able to impress with the bat. Middle order batsman De Grandhomme scored the highest individual score of his team, 30.

In response, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots chased down the target with 5.5 overs to spare and 6 wickets in hand. From their team, Lewis scored the highest runs – 65.

Captain of the winning team Carlos Braithwaite was very pleased with his team's performance. "Most complete bowling efforts we have had so far. We had discussed about getting wickets upfront and glad that we got that. Jordan on debut was really good. As a team we were really good. He (Jordan) can swing the ball both ways, he has a good knuckle ball and and also can bowl yorkers well," he said

St Kitts and Navis Petroits have their next match against Trinbago Knight Riders. While St Lucia Zoukas plays Barbados Tridents next.
