India have concluded what will be remembered as one of their finest tours of Australia with another first – Yuzvendra Chahal and MS Dhoni’s heroics have helped the team to their maiden bilateral ODI series win Down Under, sealed with a seven-wicket win in the deciding third ODI at Melbourne on Friday, 18 January.

However, there were some players who stood out in the Indian team, delivering an impressive performance in the 3 ODI matches.

M S Dhoni

While critics speculated that M.S. Dhoni might have lost his form after his 2018 track record, he did successfully put an end to all such speculations after his performance in Australia. Smashing a half-century in all the three ODIs, he racked up a total score of 193 in total. He was awarded the Man of the Series.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar

Kumar snatched a total of eight wickets in the three ODI matches. In the Adelaide ODI, he took 4 wickets while giving away 45 runs and maintaining an economy of 4.96. He even took a breathtaking catch in the Melbourne ODI.

Virat Kohli

No critic can point a finger at Kohli’s captaincy, and his batting too was at par. He scored a century in the Adelaide ODI.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal, who was included in the Indian XI for the first time in the series for the Adelaide test, derailed the Australian batting lineup with figures of 6/42 – the best by a spinner in any ODI on Australian soil – as the hosts were bowled out for 230.

Kedar Yadav

Yadav played the role of the ideal finisher by hitting a 61 off 57 balls and also sharing a partnership century with Dhoni.
