The Bengal Warriors finally managed to get the better of the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the Pro Kabaddi League at Pune on Sunday. Bengal beat Jaipur 39-38 after leading by 13 points before the final quarter.

Sunil Jaipal, Mahendra Rajput and Deepak Dhull were the star players for Bengal. Jaipal and Rajput had 9 and 10 successful raids respectively. For Jaipur, it was Rajesh Narwal who was the best performer, who scored 10 plus two bonus points. The lack of defence skills in the Panthers’ camp cost them the game.

This win has brought Bengal to the sixth place above Dabang Delhi, who finished with 27 points on Sunday. The Jaipur Pink Panthers are on 37 points and they are set to play Patna in their next game.

The Patna Pirates are on 31 points from 12 matches need to win both their games to go through to the semis. Jaipur can go through to the semis if they draw against Patna, provided Patna beat Pune.
