1. Kohli Keeps Calm, Helps India Salvage a Draw in Rajkot
Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on a defiant 49 in a tense final session to deny England victory and claim a draw in the opening Test of the five-match series on Sunday.
England captain Alastair Cook notched his 30th test hundred and declared his team's second innings on 260 for three in the second session, to set India an improbable target of 310.
Leg-spinner Adil Rashid, who picked up four wickets in the first innings, took another three as the hosts were reduced to 71 for four shortly after tea. With the spinners getting the ball to turn sharply and bounce on the wearing pitch, Cook surrounded India's batsmen with close-in fielders in an effort to force a victory.
Kohli, India's best batsman, then strung crucial partnerships with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja and saw India to a draw.

8. Dale Steyn Undergoes Shoulder Surgery
South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has undergone a surgery to repair the shoulder blade fracture he sustained during the first Test against Australia at Perth last week.
The pace spearhead, though, is likely to be out of action for most of the current season.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) was advised that the surgery is the first positive step towards recovery for the 33-year-old.
Dale had a successful surgery on Thursday where the fracture in the right shoulder blade was fixed with the placement of a screw. We expect a minimum six-month rehabilitation period before he can start any form of bowling. It is crucial to give the injury enough time to heal and to make sure that he is completely pain-free before he starts bowling again.Dr Mohammed Moosajee, Team Manager, South Africa
