The teammates, friends, family and fans of the New Zealand rugby legend Jonah Lomu gathered on Monday to say goodbye to the player, who died aged 40 due to a heart attack in November.
Thousands of fans wore the legend’s famous number 11 All Blacks shirt and came to pay their respects at Auckland’s Eden Park.
Ex-All Blacks players got together and performed a Haka dance, which is a war dance performed by the All Blacks before their matches.
The emotional Haka dance was performed as a tribute in front of Jonah Lomu’s coffin.
The Rugby great had to battle a lot of health issues. He had a kidney transplant in 2004 and had been on dialysis treatment for the last 10 years.
Jonah Lomu died in Auckland on November 18.
